Half-day at Quito’s Markets

Half-day at Quito’s Markets

Enjoy a fantastic half-day exploring Quito’s vibrant markets, including the bustling and colorful popular food market and artisanal market. This private food tour offers insights into where locals purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit Quito’s handicraft market, which showcases the diverse range of artisanal creativity found throughout the country. Here, artisans from Otavalo, Saquisili, and other indigenous cultures residing in Quito display their unique handcrafted goods.

This culinary experience lasts around 3 and a half hours. As we stroll through the market, we pause to sample various market dishes and taste different types of Ecuadorian fruits.

Our next destination is the outdoor artisanal market, where you will find an array of items including Andean musical instruments, fabrics, vibrant paintings, alpaca blankets, esoteric goods, alpaca scarves, hats, leather goods, ceramics in Otavalo style, jewelry, Ecuadorian chocolate, and coffee.

Throughout the tour, you will gain insight into the markets’ history. Encounter the city’s most renowned artisan market. Opt for a half-day excursion to Quito’s Market in the morning or afternoon.
